ABOUT US

The Community Initiatives of New York (TCIONY) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering Black and Brown communities across NYC. We break down barriers, fight for justice and equity, and create opportunities through innovative programs, partnerships, and youth-led initiatives. From our signature Teaching A Generation (T.A.G.) program to anti-violence movements and community empowerment efforts, TCIONY is committed to building safer, stronger, and more vibrant communities—where every voice is heard and every generation has the tools to rise.
